Pulse warmers are actually a very 80's
accessory, so they are probably really in style this season (winter 2001)!
This version has a slit for your thumb to go through, and is really quick
and easy to make. Feel free to change the pattern to your liking, it
should be really easy to alter it for different size wrists.
Materials:
WW yarn, acrylic or wool, or whatever you have. I
used a funky, fuzzy yarn.
Size US 8 dpns
Finished Size:
Fits a woman's small wrists, 6" in circumpherence.
Gauge:
3 sts = 1" (after being worn and therefore
stretched)
Directions (make 2):
CO 24 sts, setting them up in a 9-9-6 pattern on 3 dpns.
Join.
Row 1: K3, P3 ribbing all around.
Row 2-24: Continue in ribbing. (about 4" long, or
whatever length you want from your thumb opening to the bottom of the
pulse warmer)
Row 25: Work first 10 sts in rib, then BO 6 sts,
continue in rib around.
Row 26: Work first 10 sts in rib, then CO 6 sts,
continue in rib around.
Row 27-33: Work in rib around. (about 1.5" more, or
desired length from thumb up the hand). BO all stitches LOOSELY. You're
done!
